General Information

Pleasant View Police Department serves the community of Pleasant View and the 11,500 citizens with 13 full time police officers. The police department currently handles about 9000 calls for service per year.

The police department has a Police Chief, lieutenant, and two Sergeants who supervise the patrol and investigation divisions. We have a School Resource Officer that is assigned full time at Weber High school during the school year then assigned to traffic enforcement during the summer months. PVPD has a police K9 dog named Kai that has expertise in illegal narcotics detection as well as aggression and apprehension of criminal suspects.

We also have an animal services officer who patrols the city and handles all animal related calls. We currently have four part time police officers that assist with shift coverage and court bailiff duties.

Our office is located in the city office complex at 520 W. Elberta Dr. Our office houses the police department administration, detectives, police secretary/records specialist, animal services, and code enforcement.
